Job Description
A leading and successful provider of analytical and environmental testing services are currently seeking a Deputy Lab Manager to join their team in Oxfordshire on a full-time basis, initially for a 12-month Fixed term contract, with possibilities for extension or to go permanent. Ideal for a candidate with a background in managing analytical teams in a UKAS ISO17025 lab. Commutable from Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage, Swindon, Didcot, and Newbury.
Role Overview
- Ensure the efficient running of the laboratory.
- Monitor staff performance and KPIs, providing support and coaching as needed.
- Monitor and optimise existing processes, procedures and methods.
- Manage instruments and equipment portfolio.
To be considered...
Requirements
- A Degree or equivalent in Chemistry related discipline (essential)
- Experience managing teams in an analytical chemistry Laboratory. (essential)
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, particularly ISO17025, MCERTS and relevant H&S standards.
- Experience in the field of Radiochemistry is highly beneficial but not essential.
