Newly promoted Chris, and his journey at Network Scientific

At our scientific recruitment agency, our team makes us who we are. We pride ourselves on our expertise and knowledge, as well as our work culture and values. 

Since 2010, we have been on a journey to meet our goals and grow our business, and in 2019 Chris joined the team as a Recruitment Consultant. Since then he played a key part in the development and growth of the recruitment team; receiving a promotion and specialising in Biotech recruitment. 

We asked Chris to review his journey with Network Scientific. Check out how he found his first few months and where he is now!

June 2019 - Chris' first six months

After my first few weeks here at Network Scientific, I have spent most of my time receiving support from the wider team and cracking on with further recruitment training, both have helped me settle in very quickly. 

My time here has already gone exceptionally fast. Working for a scientific recruitment agency has already shown its challenges but I have loved learning and adapting. The variety the role offers me has helped me grow my approach to clients and candidates. 

I have had to learn about the various scientific markets, including life sciences recruitment, pharmaceutical recruitment, medical device recruitment and more. The scientific industry that Network Scientific operates in has been very interesting to me, I have had to apply myself in order to grasp each different role and its requirements. But I will say that this has been very rewarding and stimulating.

Network Scientific are all about rewarding the big wins and individual achievements, and in my couple of weeks, I have managed to place my first candidate! Which really reinforced my confidence to continue in my role. 

I will also strive each day to work harder and improve. 

So far, I really feel I have found a business that suits my mindset and ideologies. Where I am able to learn something new every day. I am really looking forward to the future with Network Scientific and am excited to see what I can achieve here.

June 2022 - Chris' third year

I have recently passed my third year anniversary working here at Network Scientific, and if my first months went quickly, to say the rest of the time has flown by would be an understatement. 

In the time I have spent working for the business have undergone a change of industry, a change in offices and a global pandemic! Working during COVID-19 was a strange time for everyone but I feel I came out the other side a more determined and resilient recruiter. 

Since moving to our new offices, and the continued expansion of the recruitment team, our brand culture has shone through. The recruitment team is very supportive of one another, we get on well and often share advice and best practices. I am more than delighted to have received my recent promotion to Senior Recruitment Consultant;

I am very happy to be moving up to Senior Consultant having just had my 3 year anniversary with Network Scientific. I am pleased to be part of such a great team and want to thank everyone here for helping me get to where I am!

The future looks bright and it has been a very strong year so far. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the business and continuing to progress.
